Reinout Hellenthal is a Dutch director and producer of Indonesian descent working in the field of short narrative, documentary film and advertising. His fictional work is mostly characterized by stories drawn from real life and related to contemporary issues. Best known is the short film Something About Alex, which achieved unprecedented international success at festivals and use in education to this day. With a broad taste in music, his resume also includes 360 degree work for Cypress Hill, Machine Gun Kelly, BillyBio, Powerflo and Prophets of Rage. Currently Reinout is developing a feature film and teams up with emerging talents.
